The computing school where students teach

In February, for the 6th time since 2005, the CERN School of Computing is organizing its inverted school.

The 'inverted' School of Computing (iCSC2013) at CERN from 25 to 26 February 2013, in room 513-1-024, will allow former students to step up to the podium and take a turn at lecturing.

CSC2012 students made proposals via an electronic discussion forum, from which a programme was designed. This year’s programme focuses on timely, challenging as well as innovative topics: GPU computing in High Energy Physics, Computer vision, Testing in large scale distributed systems, Grid Interpretation by LHC experiments.

Attendance is free and open to everyone. Though most of the lectures are part of a series, the programme is designed so that lectures can be followed rather independently.

Registration is not mandatory, but will allow you to obtain a copy of the full printed booklet (first registered, first served)
