For CERN employees: Sign your child up for the “Futur en tous genres” day!

On Thursday, 10 November, CERN will take part in the “Futur en tous genres” day, which inspires schoolchildren to explore new perspectives beyond gender

The annual Futur en tous genres day, organised by the Swiss Department of Public Education, Training and Youth (DIP), will take place on Thursday, 10 November 2022. At the all-day event, children will be invited to explore various professional fields in order to expand their horizons and consider their career and life prospects free from any preconceived ideas.

This year, CERN will welcome the children of 24 employees on site to join in activities that will break the barrier of gender stereotypes. The day’s schedule will include an introduction to jobs at CERN, workshops, a guided tour and a science show. Lunch will be provided free of charge.

Who is eligible for the event?

  • Children of CERN employees holding any type of contract (MPE, MPA, official guides, ENTC, TEMC).
  • 9th grade school pupils educated in the canton of Geneva.
  • 7H to 9H grade school pupils educated in the canton of Vaud.
  • 8H grade school pupils educated in the canton of Valais.
