The CERN annual "diesel" test will occur this Wednesday 19th December from 7.00am to 7.07am. As usual the power will be cut on the entire CERN site in order to check that the important installations continue to work on UPS and diesel. In principle the Computer Centre should not suffer much since 8 out of 10 of the ventilation units of R-050 are now powered by UPS. Both the IT equipment and the cooling should continue to work fine during power cuts < 10 minutes. EN-EL, EN-CV, Operations and Sysadmin piquet will be in B513 during the test.
All offices, corridors and labs power will be cut during the intervention. It is therefore recommended to turn off any electrical devices beforehand.
