Where:

40/S2-B01 at CERN

Abstract:

1st part :  « JACoW : General presentation » (A. Rossi)
The Joint Accelerator Conferences Website (JACoW) is an international collaboration that publishes the proceedings of accelerator conferences held around the world. Originally created for the publication of the proceedings of the Asian, European, and North American particle accelerator conferences (which in 2010 became the International Particle Accelerator Conference series, or IPAC), today the site hosts the proceedings of all main accelerator related conferences.
In this 1st part is described how the collaboration works, what are the policies and requirements for publication, paper indexing and impact, concluding with the sustainability of JACoW.

2nd part : « Indico-JACoW Collaboration » (D. Galvao, M. Succar)
Indico is a project developed at CERN that provides tools to assist in the organization and archival of meetings and conferences, provisioning a website, notifications, registrations, paper submissions, payments, as well as handling scientific programmes, peer-reviewing, editing and publication of the proceedings. In the past 8 years a collaboration has been formed with JACoW to extend the capabilities of the software in order to handle larger conferences with specialized needs.
In this 2nd part is described how the Indico team cooperates with JACoW and details all main features of the tools and features development within the collaboration.
